This is our "go to" breakfast or lunch place when we're near St. Johnsbury. Straightforward diner-type menu. The food is always good and the prices are excellent.

Tim's Deli is a "no frills" deli and grill serving up breakfast, lunch, and dinner, takeout service at the counter with overhead menu boards & open kitchen area and eating in inside the separate dining room. The menu offerings include hot & cold subs, deli sandwiches, grilled sandwiches, salads, burgers, chicken (4 pieces, tenders, popcorn chicken), fried seafood (haddock, shrimp, scallops, whole clams, clam strips) baskets & dinners, and fried appetizers. The prices here are reasonable and the house specialties come with fries. I stopped at Tim's Deli for dinner recently. For takeout, I ordered a Large Philly Cheesesteak ($6.50 plus tax) with peppers & onions and served with fries. The food was ready in under 15 minutes after placing my order. The Philly Cheesesteak Sub was HUGE, cut in half with a pile of fries to fit in the takeout box. The cheesesteak sub itself was very greasy (like you get in Philly) which had thin sliced tender beef with sauteed sweet onions & green peppers, American cheese, and mayo on a thick soft chewy sub roll. The golden fries were very crispy on the outside with a coarse texture. I would definitely stop at Tim's Deli again for another greasy Philly Cheesesteak Sub!

Who would of thought... This deli is a diamond in the rough. My boyfriend and I, quiet frankly, weren't expecting much by the looks on the outside - and lunch was scrumptious! Best steak and cheese with peppers and onions I've had in a while! Thin slices of steak, none of that ground up crap! Michael got roast beef on rye and said it was perfect, I wouldn't know though because before I could try it, it was gone. Get the spicy fries too, they're a good crispy add on! Yum!

I would give this 4 1/2 stars but it's not a yelp option. I've only had the fried haddock but it is the best fried haddock I have had anywhere. The Friday night special is $9.95 for all you can eat Or you can have a small basket for $5.95. The basket includes homemade cole slaw and French fries. I really enjoyed the quality of the food at Tim's. We went back 3 times while I was up in St. Johnsbury area. They have a nice menu that is sure to please everyone. It is a small and quaint little Deli, but they sure do know how to cook. The prices are some of the best prices in the area. If you want to try something that's casual and has great food you wont be disappointed with Tims. Its a BYOB place so if you want a beer or wine, go to the package store first and bring it with you.

We had two great sandwiches. They were made to order very quickly. Cash only. There is a take out and a seating area. We only went into the takeout area which was very unassuming. They also had hot takeout options. Parking was a bit of a challenge but worth it for the food.
